Cinclus

Cinclus is one of our new log cabins, which opened in December 2018. This luxury Scottish holiday home sits on the edge of a steep slope with stunning south-facing views right down to the River Glass in the glen below. With large French windows in the bedroom, so guests can see the breathtaking views right from bed! Keep an eye out for red deer, which regularly browse below the deck and on the grass outside the kitchen window.

The name Cinclus means Dipper, an amazing little bird that we see often on the River Farrar. It uses an ingenious aqua-dynamic method to pin itself to the river bed underwater to feed on the river bottom without getting swept away.

Cinclus Cabin Features

Cinclus sleeps 2 to 4 people in one double or twin room, plus 2 single character log beds on the mezzanine. The bathroom has its own sauna and walk-in shower, as well as a bath and in-bath shower. There’s a sitting-kitchen-dining area, an additional upstairs sitting room and office space. Then outdoors, it has a larger-than-standard deck with a picnic table, covered and contained by carved railings (good for keeping dogs outside). This is a beautiful, welcoming and spacious log cabin, ideal for couples and small families.
