Log cabin holidays in our newest accommodation
There’s no better time of year than spring to book a break in the Scottish Highlands. Eagle Brae offers self-catering log cabin holidays with a difference. Our luxury self-catering eco resort features a range of cabins to choose from. Enjoy the perfect combination of a rustic wilderness experience and luxurious, modern comforts. In December 2018, we introduced three new log cabins to our collection – let’s take a look inside…
Meaning ‘treecreeper’, a little bird that catches insects on trees, Certhia sleeps two to four people. The cabin has one double or twin room and two single log beds on a mezzanine. It has an open plan sitting-kitchen-dining room, plus there’s an upstairs sitting room and office space with PC and printer.
Certhia enjoys a stunning location on a ridge, with its own, beautiful private view point. It’s the ideal retreat for couples looking for a romantic setting. From the large outdoor deck you can spot wild deer. The cabin has views over Strathglass and Erchless Castle.
When it comes to luxury holidays, Eagle Brae has you covered. Our 5-star accommodation in Scotland is superbly equipped, with every amenity you could ever need. Our cabins even have under-floor biomass heating and log burning stoves!
Certhia’s main attraction is its private deck with a roof overhang and seating. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a nightcap or breakfast, while spotting deer.
Ardea means ‘heron’, the elegant bird you’ll see occasionally at the Eagle Brae pond. It enjoys a serene location next to the upper duck pond that’s ideal for small families with young children. They’ll love the ducks! From the cabin bedroom’s large French windows you can enjoy breath-taking views south across the glen.
The cabin also has one double or twin room and two single log beds on a mezzanine, making it ideal for couples or families. The bathroom features a walk-in shower, bath, in-bath shower and sauna.
One of Ardea’s best features is its large, south-facing deck with a picnic table. The roof covering and enclosed hand carved railings are ideal for allowing your dog to sleep outside.
Meaning ‘Dipper’, an amazing little bird often see on the River Farrar, Cinclus comfortably sleeps two to four guests. This cabin is popular with small families and couples and sits at the edge of a steep slope. From the deck you can enjoy south-facing views towards the River Glass.
French windows in the main double/twin bedroom allow you to wake up to nature – you may even spot red deer!
Furnished in a colourful style (all our furnishings are handmade), the layout of this cabin is perfect for couples or families. With a large, open-plan sitting-dining room-kitchen, you can spend time together for family meals, board games or a movie. The upstairs sitting room and office with PC and printer makes it easy to enjoy some quiet time or get work done.
