Ardea

Sleeps 2 - 4

Ardea

Ardea is one of our new log cabins, which opened in December 2018. A luxury Scottish log cabin with sauna, Ardea sits next to the upper duck pond, with spectacular views out across the glen to the south. Plus, large French windows in the bedroom, so guests can even enjoy the scenery from bed! Surrounded by nature and wildlife, look out for red deer, which often graze by the front door and on the grass outside the kitchen window.

The name Ardea means heron, an elegant and charismatic bird of which we see plenty of here in Strathglass, and occasionally at the Eagle Brae ponds.

Luxury Log Cabin with Sauna

Ardea Log Cabin Features

Ardea sleeps 2 to 4 people in one double or twin room, plus 2 single character log beds on the mezzanine. Perfect for couples or small families. The bathroom has its own sauna and walk-in shower, as well as a bath and in-bath shower. It has a sitting-kitchen-dining area, an additional upstairs sitting room and office space. Then outside, a large south-facing deck with picnic table, covered and contained by carved railings (ideal for keeping dogs outside). A truly magnificent place to relax and take in the stunning scenery around you.
