Flying from Jersey to Scotland
Direct flights are currently available from Jersey Airport to Edinburgh or Glasgow in Scotland. Flights take approximately 1.5 hours. This is a good option if you plan on visiting parts of southern or central Scotland before heading north to the Highlands. From Edinburgh or Glasgow, the journey north to us here at Eagle Brae is around 4 hours by car. Or you could take a train to Inverness, and we’re a 40-minute drive from there.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer to head straight to the Highlands, you can fly from Jersey to Inverness, usually via a connection in London. The journey is generally around 5.5 hours, including connection time, however this may vary. From Inverness Airport, it’s about a 50-minute drive to Eagle Brae.

The weather in Scotland is quite different to Jersey. In the Highlands, temperatures tend to be cooler year-round, and conditions can change rapidly, even within a single day. So when visiting from Jersey, it’s essential to pack for all seasons. Bring warm layers, a waterproof jacket, sturdy walking shoes, and a hat and gloves. Don’t forget sunglasses and suncream too. In the summer, midge repellent is also a good idea. It’s wise to check the local forecast before heading out for the day, but always be prepared for surprises.
