The Ultimate Highland Getaway

Nestled on a Highland mountainside, between the stunning glens of Affric and Strathfarrar, your ultimate Scottish getaway awaits. Eagle Brae is the perfect place to escape to the country but with all the comforts of home and some added luxuries! Here we reveal just a few of our little secrets that help make a stay at Eagle Brae so special.

A Scottish Getaway with a Himalayan Twist

Eagle Brae owners Mike and Pawana have strong ties to the Indian Himalayas, as Pawana is originally from there. They bring an authentic Himalayan twist to our luxury lodges in Scotland. From the intricate hand-carvings that adorn the walls to the exclusive Nehru jackets available to buy on site and the Indian incense sticks provided in your welcome hamper. All these little touches help to make a visit to Eagle Brae a completely unique and special experience.

Inspired by Nature

Our idyllic setting means we are completely surrounded by wildlife and we bring elements of this into our lodges wherever possible. For example, the deer footprints hand-carved into the wooden staircases at all lodges. You’ll also find beautiful carvings of Highland creatures on the interior walls, and majestic chandeliers hand-crafted from deer antlers hanging from the ceiling. We love our Highland birds so much at Eagle Brae, we named each of our cabins after our favourites. Our larger log cabins, which sleep up to 6 guests, are named: Aquila (Golden Eagle), Buteo (Buzzard) and Loxia (Crossbill). We called the smaller one-bedroom cabins: Parus (Crested Tit, Coal Tit & Blue Tit), Strix (Tawny Owl), Sylvia (Blackcap and Garden Warbler) and Tringa (Greenshank). There are different carvings and items to discover in each lodge, so no two are the same!
